Dr.Rajeswari Jayaraman was born in a village near Sivakasi in an agricultural family. She symbolises female literacy and women’s empowerment. Dr.Rajeswari Jayaraman rose to the position of being the first leading Gynecologist of North Chennai.

She completed MBBS at Madurai Medical college in 1965 and joined government service. Later on, she went on to become a tutor in anatomy at Madurai Medical College, did DGO in the same college. She joined Kilpauk Medical College as Asst.Professor, completed MD OBG at the Institute of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Prof.Dr.Rajeswari Jayaraman, retired as Deputy Superintendent in the year 2000 from IOG, Madras Medical College.

She was awarded the best doctor award by the Indian Medical Association in the year 2002.

She has been awarded lifetime achievement award by the Dr.MGR Medical University in 2012.

It has been 50 years since she has been serving countless couples in the maternity and fertility field. She is an epitome of sincerity, dedication, and selflessness.

Dr.Rajapriya Ayyappan graduated as a meritorious student from the prestigious Madras Medical College in the year 1993. “Knowledge is power” being her motto, inspired her to succeed in academics and education and updated training continues. She is a second generation gynecologist inspired and trained by her mentor and mother, Prof.Dr.Rajeswari Jayaraman.

Dr.Rajapriya Ayyappan graduated from The Institute of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Chennai, completed keyhole surgery training from the Bromley NHS Trust, London, and Lille, Paris. Her credentials include MRCOG degree from Royal College, London, and Microsurgery training from Centre of excellence, Kilpauk. She recieved Branfeet memorial prize and was awarded Sir AL Mudaliar Travelling Fellowship, which kindled her interest in treating couples with infertility issues and thereafter she opened a center for infertility management. She has been a consultant on Infertility since 1996.

Dr.Rajapriya Ayyappan achieved her Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine, Andrology, and Sexual medicine to comprehensively address all the needs of subfertile couples. Having a flair for language she is comfortable conversing in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, English, and Malayalam.

Being a community conscious person, she regularly participates in community outreach programs initiated by the hospital and committed social organizations like FOGSI. She is currently Joint Secretary in Indian Fertility Society, TAMILNADU Chapter since 2015. In 2016, she was conferred FRCOG by Royal college of Obs and Gyn, at the world congress in Birmingham.
